About Us

inPERU is a non profit Peruvian association founded by the main business organizations of the Peruvian market: APEF, APESEG, ASBANC, Asociación de AFP, BVL, CAVALI, CONFIEP and PROCAPITALES. Its actions will be based on the following principles: transparency, integration, honesty, accountability, respect and commitment to promote Peru, its country opportunities and its financial and capital markets among international investors.

Mission

Present the potential of Peru's investment and business to the main places in the world, being the link between the public and private sectors to encourage meetings and communications between foreign investors and the national financial and capital markets.

Vision

To be recognized as a politically independent and multisectoral association that promotes Peru internationally as a safe and favorable place for business and foreign investment; which collaborates to the benefit of investors, capital collectors and Peruvian society in general.

Objectives

Our main objectives are to promote foreign investment and the development of opportunities in Peru as well as in its financial and capital markets, providing the following appropriate information to investors on a continuous basis:

The most relevant political events.
Changes in fiscal and monetary policy.
Infrastructure of the market and its reforms.
Most important local projects and issueings.

In addition, inPERU´s purpose is to strengthen the relation between foreign investors and its Peruvian participants:

becoming the main promoter and communication channel for the interested parties.

Francis Stenning has been Bolsa de Valores de Lima's CEO since 2009. During his two years at the exchange, he led the Peruvian team into MILA. Before joining Lima's Exchange, he spent ten years at CAVALI (Peru´s CSD), as Chairman and CEO. During past decade he has also acted as a Board Member of CEVALDOM – (Dominican Republic's CSD), the EDV (Bolivia's CSD) and Datatec (the Peruvian Forex and Sovereign Debt Platform), as well as led different advisory projects related to Payment Systems for Regulatory Agencies in Central America and the Caribbean. Besides his responsibilities at the Exchange, Mr. Stenning currently chairs the Board of CAVALI and is a board member of the Chilean Commodities Exchange.

Mr. Stenning holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Peru and a Master's of Science in Management from Arthur D. Little MEI in Boston, Massachusetts.

Vicente Tuesta earned a Ph.D and a M.A. in economics from New York University and received a bachelor in economics from the Universidad del Pacifico (Perú). He worked as the Chief Investment Officer at Profuturo AFP (private pension fund that belongs to Scotiabank). Previously, he worked as the Chief Economist at Deutsche Bank Perú and as the Head of the Research at the Central Bank of Perú. He got involved in research projects related to real exchange rates in the research departments at both the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and JP Morgan Chase NY. He is a professor of the Finance Department at CENTRUM Católica and his research interests are international macroeconomics, finance and monetary economics. Vicente has published in several top peer academic journals in economics such as the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Money Credit and Banking and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. He is currently an Associated Editor for the Review of Economic Analysis.

He has executive experience in finance and banking for more than 24 years in corporate enterprises of various economic sectors and financial institutions. He is President and founder of the Peruvian Association of Finance-APEF. Director of Andean Crown SAFI, Director and asesor of Resinplast, Laboratorios Portugal, Chemie, Ardiles SA, Promelsa SA, Industrial Comercial Holguin, Maderera Bozovich, Cidelsa, Casaideal, Diamante del Pacífico, etc.

Member of the Advisory Committee in Business School of Universidad del Pacífico.

Professor and advisor in finance, economics and banking, among others in the Business School and Executive Education Center at the Universidad del Pacífico since 1993 and Centrum MDD. Prior to his currents positions he was CEO of Iasacorp, CFO of Corporación Infarmasa SA, CFO of Quimica Suiza SA and other executive positions at Banco Continental and Banco de Lima Sudameris in the areas of Capital Markets, Corporate Banking and International Banking. Mr. Capristán is the Controller and Treasury Manager of Corporacion Lindley, the exclusive bottler of the Coca-Cola Company in Perú and the former Controller Manager and previously the Treasury Manager of the company since 2000 to 2015.

He is member of the Board of Directors of inPerú, the association to promote foreign investments in Perú and Founder and Director of APEF, the association of professionals in finance in Perú.

With executive experience in finance for more than 20 years in Corporacion Lindley and as advisor in companies of various economic sectors, he is international speaker in the conferences of Eurofinance in the region and in United States.

Professor of finance in the Business School and Executive Education Center at the Universidad del Pacífico and previously in the Pontificia Universidad Catolica of Perú and the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola.Mr. Capristán holds a degree of MBA Master of Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management of The Netherlands, has a degree of Master in Strategic Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru and is Chartered Accountant from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru.

Es miembro del Directorio de InPerú, la asociación para promover las inversiones extranjeras en Perú y fundador y Director de APEF, la asociación de profesionales de las finanzas en Perú.
Tiene una experiencia ejecutiva en finanzas durante más de 20 años en la Corporación Lindley y como asesor en empresas de diversos sectores económicos. Es conferencista internacional en las conferencias de Eurofinance en la región y Estados Unidos.

Álvaro Correa holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He joined BCP in 1997, where he held different managerial positions in Risk and IT. Mr. Correa then served as CEO of Credicorp’s Cayman based private banking operation Atlantic Security Bank, CEO of Miami based broker dealer Credicorp Capital Securities and BCP’s Miami Agency, all between January 2006 and March 2008. Between Abril 2008 and September 2013, Mr. Correa was Chief Financial Officer for Credicorp Ltd. and BCP, and served on the Board of Directors of Credicorp's subsidiaries Prima AFP and Financiera Edyficar among others. Since October 2013 he serves as Chief Insurance Officer of Credicorp and CEO of Pacifico.

Currently is the Executive President of the Peruvian Association of Insurance Companies (APESEG, in Spanish). He is also Professor at the Faculty of Economics of Universidad del Pacifico. Previously, he was Chief Economist at the Latin American Reserve Fund (FLAR) from 2012-2014. He was Deputy Minister of Economics, Director at the Research Center of Universidad del Pacifico, Director of the Master in Economics Program at the same university. He has written several books and research papers on pensions, fiscal policy, monetary policy and exchange rate issues.
