In London, the seminar “Development in Peru: Foreign investment and economic progress” was held in Church House. The welcome words were in charge of the Ambassador of Peru in the UK, Juan Carlos Gamarra. Then, Dr. Julio Velarde explained about the monetary policy and the macroeconomic stability of our country. There was also a panel entitled “Economic development and great opportunities for investment in Peru”, which was formed by Jorge Muñoz, Mayor of Lima; Carlos Neuhaus, Executive Director of the Organizing Committee of the Pan American Games Lima 2019; Jorge Ramos Raygada, CEO of Grupo Sura; and Oliver Cornock, Editor-in-Chief of Oxford Business Group, who moderated the panel. Subsequently, Minister Carlos Oliva presented the panorama of Peruvian macroeconomics. In addition, several 1-1 meetings were held with British businessmen.
In the city of Madrid two seminars were developed, which had a large number of attendees. The first seminar entitled “Business Meeting Peru-Spain” was held at Fundación Telefónica. The next day, the seminar “Peru in development: foreign investment and economic progress” was held at CEOE. The welcome words were in charge of President Martín Vizcarra. Ministers Carlos Oliva and Edmer Trujillo, as well as Dr. Julio Velarde participated in this seminar. After the seminar ended, inPERU delegates had the option of visiting the ARCO art fair, where Peru was the guest country. In the evening, the delegation was invited to participate in the cocktail party that President Vizcarra and his wife offered in the name of the King and Queen of Spain.
