Minister Jorge Montero held 10 meetings with prominent international funds and banks, including Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and EIG.

Peru continues to consolidate its position as an attractive destination for foreign investment in the mining and energy sector. This was highlighted by Minister of Energy and Mines Jorge Montero Cornejo following his participation in the first day of the XVIII Europe Road Show 2025, held in London.

The head of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) reported holding 10 meetings with major investment groups and international banks, which expressed interest in projects related to mining, hydrocarbons, renewable energy, and electricity generation.

Among the most notable meetings, the Minister highlighted encounters with Deutsche Bank and Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual, both of which expressed interest in expanding their participation in various strategic sectors of the country.

He also highlighted the meeting with Goldman Sachs, in which opportunities in oil exploration and production, lithium investments, and the potential of Peru’s metallurgical industry were discussed.

The Minister also met with major energy sector funds and companies, whose representatives expressed interest in continuing to invest in the country and exploring new opportunities in natural gas, renewable energy, and electricity generation.

These meetings, the Minister noted, reaffirm Peru’s appeal as a reliable and competitive investment destination, as well as investors’ willingness to maintain and expand their presence in the country.

“This first day leaves us with great expectations. We have had high-quality meetings with partners who know Peru well, have resources and mature businesses, and want to continue investing in the country. Our job now is to keep driving those investments,” said the Minister of Energy and Mines.

The XVIII Europe Road Show 2025 was held on September 8 and 9 in London, with the objective of positioning Peru as a reliable, competitive, and safe destination for foreign investment in strategic sectors for growth and sustainable development.
