The seminar “PERU: LEADING GROWTH ACROSS THE REGION” was successfully held, bringing together 120 potential investors in Baker & McKenzie’s offices. This event was attended by the Ambassador of Peru in the United States, Carlos Pareja, who gave the welcome speech. In the Seminar, Dr. Julio Velarde, spoke about the monetary policy of the country, which is a factor key to long-term macroeconomic stability. Likewise, Minister Carlos Oliva made a presentation about the Peruvian macroeconomic panorama. There was also a panel discussion made up of representatives of the private sector.
Also, several 1-1 meetings were held between delegates and local investors organized by entities such as Baker & McKenzie, Credicorp, Scotiabank, BTG Pactual and Santander.
The delegation was invited to a Decoration Ceremony where the Americas Society/Council of the Americas President and CEO Susan Segal was awarded Peru’s Order of “Merit for Distinguished Services” in the rank of Grand Official for her outstanding contribution to the promotion of Peru as a leader in the hemisphere and for her commitment to the strengthening of economic, political, diplomatic, and cultural ties between Peru and the United States.
